BTCV Partner Exchange Program

Picture
The Partner Exchange Program aims to support a community partner’s visit to one of the other BTCV project sites.  Typically, the community partner would be part of a project team although other arrangements are possible.  The main goal is to provide a learning experience and collaboration that helps build promising projects. The essence of this “on-the-job training” is to learn first-hand:
  • How other sites manage their projects
  • What led to their success
  • How to identify specific strengths and challenges
  • How to develop a more sustainable outcome for their own project, and
  • Thereby help to broaden a global perspective.

There are of course additional collateral benefits:
  • Recognizing exceptional community partners
  • Facilitating cultural exchange, inter-project communication and network expansion.
  • Building financial security through targeted fund raising.

Program participants are nominated by members of BTCV community.  Nominations are made to BTCV leadership who in turn use scholorship fund or direct sponsor funds to make the trip possible.

Program participants may be funded to visit sites located within their home country, home continent or elsewhere that BTCV operates.  Participation in a team project is highly encouraged although there may be special site visits for certain program participants.

Program participants are expected to provide a summary of their experience, which may be published in the BTCV Newsletter and/or posted on the BTCV website.
